Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Today marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.
Couple that with the 38% of Likely Voters who "strongly disapprove" of the President and you have a political problem.
The funny thing is that there is this sort of media generated false sense that Obama is still overwelmingly popular and has all of this built up political capital to simply throw around. But even those media commissioned "all Americans" polls are showing a considerable dip in the President's approval numbers. The latest FOX survey shows him with a 54% approval while Gallup and AP show him at 55%. In fact you need to go back nearly a month to a CNN poll that still showed Obama above the comfortable 60% threasold.
To put this in perspective... at the same time in his first term, President Bush held a 59% rating in a FOX poll through July 25th and a 56% rating in July 22nd Gallup poll. Meaning that even after the fractured 2000 Presidential elections, Bush was actually slightly "more" popular than Obama is at the same stage of his Presidency. That tells me that Obama has used up most (if not all) of his political capital that he had from his 6 point victory last November.

I feel sorry the man is unfortunate enough to be living in Oregon and could not afford private insurance. If he had private insurance it would have paid for the chemotherapy. If he lived in another state private charities would help pay for the chemotherapy.
But he live in a state with a “public option” that just told him to go and die.
If just goes to show what a fraud the “public” option is as people are mislead to think they have coverage when in fact, they are better off with no public insurance at all. It proves conclusively that people will be denied necessary live-saving treatments if the bureaucrat deems it not cost effective.

I actually have UHC as my carrier and have been quite statisfied with them. Although they do have sometimes irritating guidelines (for example my Physicians must send me to a separate lab for lab work), they never denied payment on any essential service I needed. If the Physician complained about the insurance company just what till they have to exclusively deal with the government. Now they have a choice to opt out of the UHC system. With nationalized health care they have no choice but to be a government employee.

Shaw said she earned only $15,800 the previous year and the airline was refusing to give her $200 in back pay she felt she was owed.
The transcript was released Monday by the National Transportation Safety Board. Flight 3407 crashed on Feb. 12 near Buffalo, killing 50 people. Testimony at a May hearing showed the flight's two pilots made a series of critical errors.
