The good part is our process. The truly pitiful part is that this charlatan, along with the rest of the progressives in this once great nation, was able to convince millions of Americans that they're nothing without him. We've already lived in the best of times.
Twit. Leave. Just leave. Our best days are ahead despite the shallow and bitter beliefs of people like you. Unlike you, I believe the people of this country were not deceived, but made an informed choice. And unlike you I trust the people of these United States. Go wallow in your shallow little mind.I am going enjoy the democracy this event represents.
Well, Biden just lied.I'll hang around and watch Obama do the same...
Here we go...
Oh boy...Here it comes.Collective - roads, bridges, you didn't build that - oh boy.
For now decisions are upon us, and we cannot afford delay. We cannot mistake absolutism for principle, or substitute spectacle for politics, or treat name-calling as reasoned debate.--Barack Obama in his 2nd Inaugural
Our country cannot succeed when a shrinking few do very well and a growing many barely make it. The commitments we make to each other — through Medicare, and Medicaid, and Social Security — these things do not sap our initiative; they strengthen us. They do not make us a nation of takers; they free us to take the risks that make this country great. Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law — for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well. Our journey is not complete until no citizen is forced to wait for hours to exercise the right to vote. Our journey is not complete until we find a better way to welcome the striving, hopeful immigrants who still see America as a land of opportunity. Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms. The path towards sustainable energy sources will be long and sometimes difficult. But America cannot resist this transition; we must lead it. Our journey is not complete until all our children, from the streets of Detroit to the hills of Appalachia to the quiet lanes of Newtown, know that they are cared for, and cherished, and always safe from harm.Fox "News" is pissed.
We've already lived the best of times...And FOX isn't pissed at all - they're havin' a good time. Axelclod's stuttering, lol.Cwissy is pissing himself again on msDNC, LOL!
"but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires"Oh oh, hang onto your Bics smokers!
The "You didn't build that" lie used by Republicans was shoved back at them today by @BarackObama
Savageette said... We've already lived the best of times...You are a freakin idiot. Seriously, if you believe that you hate the country and what it means to millions around the world. For one reason and one only, your side lost the election and you just cannot believe they did it knowing what they were doing. In a way that is how authoritarians get support. "If you choose the other side, they will destroy you so we MUST keep them out of power!"Loon

2013 Index of Economic Freedom: U.S. Declines for Fifth Straight YearFood stamp enrollment has skyrocketed from 32 million in January 2009 to 48 million today, and median household income has declined from $51,190 to $50,054. America had never witnessed a trillion-dollar budget deficit, but now we’ve suffered four in a row under Barack Obama. Economic growth also remains lethargic, with GDP increases far below what we’ve come to expect following a recession. Growth for 2012 averaged just 2.1% according to the latest federal data, as compared to 7.75% growth in 1983 following a recession of similar magnitude.
The Randians that opie destroyed in the essay he posted on an earlier thread will NOT like this. I think this was the key paragraph in his speech. We, the people, still believe that every citizen deserves a basic measure of security and dignity. We must make the hard choices to reduce the cost of health care and the size of our deficit. But we reject the belief that America must choose between caring for the generation that built this country and investing in the generation that will build its future. For we remember the lessons of our past, when twilight years were spent in poverty, and parents of a child with a disability had nowhere to turn. We do not believe that in this country, freedom is reserved for the lucky, or happiness for the few. We recognize that no matter how responsibly we live our lives, any one of us, at any time, may face a job loss, or a sudden illness, or a home swept away in a terrible storm. The commitments we make to each other – through Medicare, and Medicaid, and Social Security – these things do not sap our initiative; they strengthen us. They do not make us a nation of takers; they free us to take the risks that make this country great. And it was a slap in the face of the people who believe this was an election where the "takers" won. It's not true and he articulated it very well, with far more power than he did during the campaign. As I watched the speech, I could see how he was articulating the progressive view of the country. Not an anti-capitalist view as some claim, but as something pragmatic. When you see some of the comments by people here, you notice that they forget those are their fellow Americans they hate so much.
Fine Paul. What is your solution?Austerity. It has pushed Great Britain into a double dip recession. The only country where it has had any success is Canada, but the energy production there made up the difference. Throughout Europe, the nations that followed the austerity path are all in far worse shape than we are.
"Food stamp enrollment has skyrocketed from 32 million in January 2009 to 48 million today, and median household income has declined from $51,190 to $50,054. America had never witnessed a trillion-dollar budget deficit,....."It's downhill for awhile. We are fortunate to have lived in the best of times.
"The "You didn't build that" lie used by Republicans was shoved back at them today"Today he repeated his lie that he would uphold the Constitution.Today we heard more lies, more class warfare - it was great! One thing - did he tell us AGAIN that AQ is on the run?
"We must make the hard choices to reduce the cost of health care"Obamacare Part II?LOL.
The only country where it has had any success is Canada, but the energy production there made up the difference. Throughout Europe, the nations that followed the austerity path are all in far worse shape than we are. They are worst off because they went further down the social-welfare path than we did, not because of "austerity". That double-dip recession would have happen regardless of the austerity measures taken. They were already that far into the debt crisis. It would have been far worst if they had a huge defense establishment on top of that.Typical of the liberal to blame "austerity measures" rather than the fiscal crisis that necessitated them in the first place.
"We must make the hard choices to reduce the cost of health care"Yeah like deciding which old person will be left to die.
After Obama finishes the Democrats, Hillary will never be president.

REACTIONS TO OBAMA'S SECOND INAUGURAL ADDRESSANDREW SULLIVAN: "If you have long believed, as I have, that this man could easily become the liberal Reagan by the end of his second term... then this speech will not have surprised you."JAMES FALLOWS: "I was expecting an anodyne tone-poem about healing national wounds, surmounting partisanship, and so on. As has often been the case, Obama confounded expectations -- mine, at least. Four years ago, when people were expecting a barn-burner, the newly inaugurated president Obama gave a deliberately downbeat, sober-toned presentation about the long challenges ahead. Now -- well, it's almost as if he has won re-election and knows he will never have to run again and hears the clock ticking on his last chance to say what he cares about. If anyone were wondering whether Obama wanted to lower expectations for his second term ... no, he apparently does not."EZRA KLEIN: "In his first term, Obama changed policy. In his second, he wants to change minds."CHRIS CILLIZZA: "This was a speech that could only be given by someone who knew that he would never have to run for re-election again... This was Obama unbound. Distill Obama's speech to a single sentence and that sentence is: 'I'm the president, deal with it.'"TA-NEHISI COATES: "There was a time when merely stating the ideas Obama put forth would have gotten you killed."MATTHEW CONTINETTI: "It is of course possible that the inauguration of a reelected president is his moment of maximum triumph. It is of course possible that Obama's second term may turn out like George W. Bush's, when the lyricism and passion of the second inaugural collided with the realities of strategic miscalculations and unexpected events. I have my doubts. WHAT I DO NOT DOUBT IS THAT THE GENERATION OF CONSERVATIVES AND REPUBLICANS WHO RETURN ONE DAY TO PWER WILL BE FORCED TO RECKON WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE OBAMA REVOLUTION, just as a generation of defeated liberals were forced to confront and in some cases accept the revolution of Ronald Reagan."
Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms. The path towards sustainable energy sources will be long and sometimes difficult. But American cannot resist this transition. We must lead it. We cannot cede to other nations the technology that will power new jobs and new industries. We must claim its promise. That’s how we will maintain our economic vitality and our national treasure, our forests and waterways, our crop lands and snow capped peaks. That is how we will preserve our planet, commanded to our care by God. That’s what will lend meaning to the creed our fathers once declared.
COMMENSA: "Hillary will never be president."Is that as reliable as the confident and repeated prediction that I would be absolutely "devastated" by Obama's defeat?
OBAMA TWEETS FROM CHURCHBloomberg reports President Obama and his family arrived at St. John's at 8:35 am ET and the service ended at 9:39. Obama personally sent this tweet at 9:25: ✔@BarackObama I'm honored and grateful that we have a chance to finish what we started. Our work begins today. Let's go. -bo
James, the most telling comment I have seen, and not only from what you quoted, was that Obama will be a President of consequence and the Republicans in the future will have to deal with that reality. Right now they are in denial. From the twitterings of "Pathological Liar" to "Worst President Ever" and beyond, the truth is, agree with Obama or not they will have to accept he changed the country. Now only history will judge whether or not the changes were beneficial, I think they will be, that's why I voted for him. But he has the opportunity to go into the history books as a very important leader. Nothing is guaranteed. Outside events could change it. But I just don't see him as a second term failure, like Bush was.AND, he and Michelle are out walking the parade route. I hope rat isn't there.
Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms. The path towards sustainable energy sources will be long and sometimes difficult. But American cannot resist this transition. We must lead it.In other words he's going to do the same thing to electricity that he's done for gasoline. Triple the price. How does that fit into you define benefits retirement halfbrain?
Jane , IF only you did not find the constant need to dodge questions that you are unable to answer.Policy issues always get you so darn upset.Obama promised lover unemployment, higher labor participation rates thru Job creation. He failed in his first 4 years, so "NO EXCUSES".Why did he fail?
The Climate Scientist (fake) is ignored.
"the liberal Reagan"LOL
didn't get to listen to his speech.did he get a few "Allah Akbar"s in for good measure?
he and Michelle are out walking the parade routeShe could use the exercise.
"not they will have to accept he changed the country."No, we don't have to accept it.We're not dead.
did he get a few "Allah Akbar"s in for good measure?Better yet - he was showing his respect for the church by tweeting from the church, LOL!Praise ALLAH almighty!
Kenyan Friend of Hussein You sure you're not his brother living in his glorious five bedroom, 5 outhouse hut?
I love it when conservatives actually use their god given brain, unlike the righties here. Joe Scarborough said on Sunday that Republicans owe their majority in the House of Representatives to gerrymandering. The MSNBC host was part of the roundtable on "Meet the Press." He lamented the loss of the Republican party's popular appeal, and recalled how William F. Buckley criticized certain elements of the conservative movement."That has to happen again with this party because it’s getting smaller and smaller," Scarborough said. "In this debate, we actually have conservative thinkers, talking about Ronald Reagan being a RINO — a Republican in name only, because he supported an assault weapons ban. They keep pushing themselves closer and closer to the cliff."Then he said, "But I just have to say one other really important point, because I made a mistake over the past month talking about how Republicans have also won a majority in the House. As this article I was referencing mentioned, we actually got a minority of votes nationwide in House races. It was just gerrymandering from 2010 that gave us the majority."
You are a freakin idiot. Seriously,"Gee HB...the return of the midwest bigot sure brings the discourse into the proverbial gutter. Wonder when it will really disappear with her georgian lover????chuckle
Yeah like deciding which old person will be left to die."Gee, maybe we can all wish you were part of that process since you are so against the HCA.
They are worst off because they went further down the social-welfare path than we did, not because of "austerity". "That is the second dumbest thing you said. Right after your .6% growth. Be proud, sense, you will probably be affected most by government cuts to entitlements based on your age.... To friggin bad you vote against your best interests.
In other words he's going to do the same thing to electricity that he's done for gasoline."Bringing the US productions to record levels. I guess you missed that. LOL
She could use the exercise.'You could use a brain. That would require a miracle.
We're not dead. "To bad, old lady.
They are worst off because they went further down the social-welfare path than we did, not because of "austerity". "Yet the troll can't refute it. He can only make stupid insults.Just another pathetic grab for attention. Grinning.
Opie they are sure mad here. And Fox "News" omg. "The most depressing day of the year" is what they actually said on Fox and Friends. Mr .6% has lost it. Twit is damn near suicidal. One more day of this might push her over the brink.
I shouldn't have tweeted the President while he was in church. I had no idea he would answer.
Actually, some of the nations that were "further down the social welfare path" -- Germany and the Scandanavian countries -- did quite well and are still doing remarkably well economically.Sorry to refute you. Hope you're not "devastated."
"Twit is damn near suicidal."LMAO!I'm not the one wishing for others to die, drunkard. That would be you and your little troll buddy.
They (The Canadians) are worst(sic) off because they went further down the social-welfare path than we did, not because of "austerity"That is simply put, a lie. You or some other right wing idiot was claiming the Canadians were doing better because they followed austerity measures. Now you try and lie about it. You are the pathological liar, not Obama.
James, if you are on twitter, add me. If you need my ID, send me an email, Ditto fb if you are on there. We can have fun with right wing losers anywhere ya know. Go to twitter and look at #tcot They are completely losing it.
"He can only make stupid insults.Just another pathetic grab for attention."A troll gotta do what a troll gotta do.LOL!They want us dead, CS, lmao! Seems a tad bit extreme to me - how 'bout you?
Dead? Nah. It would be tragic! But it would be fine with me if you actually left. You contribute nothing of substance. You are just a scrawny old groupie.
At Huffpo MediaPundits 'Surprised' By Obama's Second Inaugural; Charles Krauthammer Calls It 'Amazing' (VIDEO)Some interesting reactions. Krauthammer could not hide a grudging admiration for the speech (as the video makes clear, though to watch it you have to look at K.'s face some of the time).
"It was a fine speech, but I didn't hear any conciliatory remarks. I didn't see any specific reference like, 'I reach out my hand to the other side of the aisle.'"-- Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), quoted by the New York Times, on President Obama's second inaugural address.__________________Well, now, John, it's like this: The people spoke, and now the other side had better start reaching out their hands to HIM.
I'll bet he wouldn't be tweeting during an alinsky /democrat brainwashing event...

"But it would be fine with me if you actually left."Well, I'll probably have to leave again. Actually, this is a test. "You contribute nothing of substance."Of course you feel that way - I don't worship your "God", I don't need anything from your "God", I don't agree with your "God" and you're too stupid to convince me otherwise.
"Pay no mind to them. It is of no importance."Can you imagine what they'll be like when the pendulum swings?Lordy.
"The most depressing day of the year" is what they actually said on Fox and Friends."They're idiots, but we're gonna need a link.
"What's the difference between God and Obama?God doesn't think he's Obama."LOL.
That is simply put, a lie. The only lie was you deliberate distortion of my comments. I was referring to the Europeans not the Canadians since that did not have an austerity program to begin with. Your base dishonesty is the primary reason nobody engages with you anymore unless it's to point out new examples of your pompous stupidity.
Can you imagine what they'll be like when the pendulum swings? There will be deep hate and bitterness on their part when that happens.
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/fox-friends-obamas-inauguration-day-happens-to-be-the-the-most-depressing-day-of-the-year/“The most depressing day of the year,” Doocy continued. “It has to do with drab weather, holiday bills, and resolutions that we have not met.”Gretchen Carlson introduced Winget who she teased was about to explain for the viewers that “if you’re upset, you have no one to blame but yourself.” Wonderful.Winget’s advice includes educating yourself, by reading one or more of his own books, and being honest with yourself about your own painful shortcomings. Winget was last seen on Fox & Friends in May of last year delivering history’s most depressing graduation speech for the America’s college graduates. If you are indeed suffering from “blue Monday” syndrome, it is probably safe to assume that a stiff bourbon is a more reliable remedy for depression than today’s episode of Fox & Friends.

"I de presiDENT an you is WE DE PEOPLE an WE ain’t gwine discriminate gainst NO folks, and WE gwine make dis a land not jest fo de shrinkin few but fo de desarvin many, an WE gwine ....."You wouldn't be mocking a WHITE President.Disgusting, really.
Savagette, I am not mocking Obama. I am taking his words and thoughts and suggesting they still hold power even if put in the old uneducated black dialect of people kept ignorant first by the slavery and second by laws imposed on them by people who thought they were a white master race.Actually, it's such people I am mocking, throwing it right in their faces.
Disgusting, really.Indeed. James has always been a racist as well as a man of low character. Not the type of person you'd think of when the word pastor comes to mind. Unless you're talking about a Jim Jones like cult.
Careful The people who reveal themselves as racists can very well be those who "don't get it."Of course, I am so racist I was for Obama the moment I started realizing that he actually had a chance to defeat Hillary and started reading his writings. It was my rampant racism that maded me so staunch an Obama supporter, I guess, though I may need someone to explain that to me as THAT is something I don't "get.":0)/jny/srt. Racist Rationalizing James said...Savagette, I am not mocking Obama.Yes you are. Just as much as any Mississippi racist redneck would. There's no difference between you two.I really doubt Obama would have you over to the White House for dinner if he ever read what you wrote.
It was my rampant racism that maded me so staunch an Obama supporterIt's called overcompensating. Look it up.
White guilt.I'd love to know what he did.
Do you mean the Obama who had fun with "That's just how white folks'll do yuh"?:-)Oh, and here's one little difference between me and any white cracker "Mississippi racist redneck":He/she would never, ever, ever vote for Obama. I proudly did.
White guilt.I'd love to know what he did. I'd tell you if I could think of anything.Or do you guess like Romney I forgot?
The President is speaking at the Commander in Chief's Ball. Just think, over 4,000 days left to torture you morons with the fact that Barack Hussein Obama is Commander in Chief of the United States of America.
One of Obama's better speeches.
Commensa kept telling us that attendance at this inaugural was going to be "the least in recent history." Was he wrong about that too?
Commensa is wrong about everything. I saw the whole event. There were not as many as four years ago, that was not a small crowd.
The lowball estimate is 800,000. That's double what Bush got in 2005.
800K is actually pretty good compared to most other presidents in the contemporary era. Clinton got about that many in 1993. The only one Obama 2013 didn't beat was Obama 2008 and LBJ 1965 - both of those got well over a million.
Commensa kept telling us that attendance at this inaugural was going to be "the least in recent history." Was he wrong about that too?"And I thought I was the only one who noticed another sense epic failure. Wonder if he will admit how wrong he was, again.Chuckle
Yet the troll can't refute it. "Big grin here sense. It is incumbent on you to prove they are worst (sic) off rather proffering an unsubstantiated opinion..... Dayum you are dense!ChuckleBTW,,,,,,hope the test results in ette slithering away again. LOL
By the way all you troothers, yesterday was a great day for America in spite of your deep, down latent hope, that he fails.....I guess getting kicked in the polls and losing again, is not enough for you all to reconsider how to work with people. No, you send Ted Cruz to the senate and agree with his incendiary rhetoric and unwillingness to work with anyone. Yep, that's the ticket that will cost you the house next go around. And you know what, you and your party deserve it since you cannot recognize you have to change!!Chuckle
The lowball estimate is 800,000. That's double what Bush got in 2005.That number came from the organizers themselves who have every reason to maximize the estimate. Yawn, apparently there was enough porto-potties for 400,000 and they were more than adequate.
Big grin here sense. It is incumbent on you to prove they are worst (sic) off rather proffering an unsubstantiated opinion..Sorry troll it's a self-evident truth in no need of expansion. Since you're the one challenging it, it's incumbent upon you to refute it if you can. And since you can't it's quite obvious you had nothing to begin with and it was just another pathetic play for attention.
Our country cannot succeed when a shrinking few do very well and a growing many barely make it."Huh, this is the hallmark of ObamaNomics
BRIT HUME: President Obama today gave the country a clarifying moment. We may not have gotten to know Mr. Obama, the man, better today, but we certainly got to know him the politician better. His inaugural speech should put to rest for all time the notion much favored by his admirers in the press that he is a centrist. He is not. He looked out to his west today across a country still suffering the after effects of a severe recession and said only that a recovery had begun. And his prescription for accelerating that anemic recovery? None was heard. He barely mentioned the national debt up about 60 percent since he took office, and then only as a prelude to defending the three great drivers of that debt: Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. He did call it quote “fiction” that all societies' ills could be cured through government alone, but that was just a prelude to wonders of collective action by which he unmistakably meant government action on gay rights, climate change, voter suppression, immigration reform, and obliquely gun control. Only by saying he would support the spread of democracy worldwide, which is the George W. Bush freedom agenda, and by failing to swear off the use of drone attacks did he say anything likely to disappoint the base on the left. The president clearly is a man of the left, and after today, his few departures from its orthodoxy should fool no one.No doubt Obama's agenda now. His apologist in the press can no longer ever use the terms "centrist" or "mainstream" again. He showed himself to be a hard, uncompromising leftist.
"Just think, over 4,000 days left to torture you morons with the fact that Barack Hussein Obama is Commander in Chief of the United States of America."4,000 days - lol.
Middle class income dropped $4,000 during Obama's first term. This is Obama helping the middle class.
Admitting Failure of Obamacare, not a easy thing to see is it Obamabots."We must make the hard choices to reduce the cost of health care"Obamacare promised $2,500 premimum saving per year for policy holders, it has delivered 3 K in increases, now Obama want more, why ObamaCare solved this issue, settled the Law of this USSA.

Middle class income dropped $4,000 during Obama's first term. "Admitting Failure of Obamacare, not a easy thing to see is it Obamabots."I guarantee you they're too stupid to realize that's exactly what he did - he knows they're stupid, so he can say anything.Kinda funny, really.
The official estimate is now up to a million people. More than any other president has ever had a SECOND inaugural. At the first inaugural it was 1.8 million. More than ANY president has ever had.Commensa fails again. Pretty devastating.
* for a SECOND inaugural
A DIFFERENT LEADERDan Balz: "President Obama has never lacked for confidence, but rarely has that attribute been on display as clearly as on Monday in an inaugural address that underscored the distance he has traveled after four contentious years in office. This was not the politician who campaigned in 2008 on themes of transcending the divisive politics of the past, though there were ritual calls for the country and its political leaders to seize this moment together. Instead, it was a president who has accepted the reality of those divisions and is determined to prevail ON HIS TERMS."________________The people have spoken and are speaking, and the GOP had better stop being so tone death about that. The official estimate is now up to a million peopleOfficial? Just who is official? The Park Police got out of the business of publishing crowd estimates since Farrakhan's so-called million man march.
All estimates show that attendance was not "the least in the recent history" as you said.Repeat after me, "I, Commonsense, was wrong."
Obama made it clear that FDR is still alive and RR is dying.Government is not just "the problem" -- not when it is OF, BY, and FOR the PEOPLE.
"Just who is official?"We'll know in 4000 days, lol.
Economic growth stalled in December according to the Chicago Fed's national activity index "Happy 2ndcoming

I loved his speech Ette for the many times he admitted failure.1, Economically2, The Shrinking Wealth 3, The smaller middle income earners group4, The failure of ObamaCare to reduce private policy rates. Now we know, Obamacare, the 2ndcoming admitted it has failed and has to be reworked.Really funny is the admission that SS , Medicare and Food Stamps are not at all in trouble fiscally, so those are all OFF the table. When do we see the Obamabudget , the one the calls for LOWER middle income tax rates that drop more then 5 percent, that would just about make up for the loss of income lost in the last four years of the first term.Ette, Blind Jane will never admit she is wrong, she will however double standard the hell out of this blog.I can prove it, James you said you receive SS checks and then you said you pay a higher earned income rate then millionaires and billionaires, you lied, I proved it and yet you do not admit you lied. Why are you dodging the truth, just hold to your own standards and admit you lied.
from that article about the sullen:Fox News pundits Shepard Smith, Amy Stoddard narrated the initial part of the inaugural parade while the presidential motorcade slowly moved past the cheering crowd. Smith and Stoddard’s major talking-point revolved around why the president and first lady hadn’t gotten out of the car. The weather was cold, but sunny, so they should have no excuse for not getting out of that car to greet the crowd. When President Obama and Michele did get out of the car, Smith and Stoddard almost sounded disappointed, perhaps thinking their big criticism of the day had just evaporated.HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
I lied? Then how is it that Warren Buffet's secretary pays a higher rate of taxes than he does?Is he lying? You just make yourself look stupider and stupider.
Obamabots, having failed to bring down the US Unemployment rate at all in the 1st four years and knowing the cyclical nature of the US economy, when do we see the promised 5.7 % Unemployment?Obama failed to keep promises.
Then how is it that Warren Buffet's secretary pays a higher rate of taxes than he does?1, His Secretary pays income tax on "earned " income2, Buffet Pays a higher tax rate on his "earned" income then she does on her "earned" income and then he pays on that earned income again when he is taxed on his "investment" income, aka UN-earned income. Is he lying? (he being buffet)Yes
from that sullen article:A lot of analysts praised Obama’s speech for reaching out more to younger voters and throwing a wider tent to cover gay rights, people of different color and references to climate change—than any preceding inaugural speech. But true to Republican inability to adapt to a changing electorate or issues of importance beyond taxes and spending, there were many that couldn’t even take a deep breath before jumping back on their attack-Obama high-horses......While other channels were showing the festive parade activities, Fox News spent the time dissecting every part of Obama’s speech with a new round of critics every hour. The battle will resume on debt ceiling issues in the coming days, but it is a shame that right-winged neocons, who are clearly still pouting from their election loss, couldn’t zip their criticism for a few hours of one single day.Could it be from fear that giving President Obama even a hint of respect would cause their brains to implode or could it be fear that their Tea Party backers might abandon them or have they simply become so partisan that moral decency no longer exists?
I haven't seen any predictions about performance during the second 4000 day term of zerO here yet...here are a few of mine:-War expands in the ME and North Africa...more US soldiers and drones deployed. (easy prediction under Peace Prize Pres)-Unemployment "improves" as more give up, unemployment payments extended to infinity. FED gives indication of exiting QE...bond market plummets at least 15-20% and equity markets follow suit. Recession returns.-Drama continues from DC on debt deficit etc...no resolution to any of it, of course.-Those of us paying for our own insurance must declare bankruptcy as zerOcare takes hold and runs costs to the moon and beyond.Gun sales remain robust...legal and otherwise. The MSM's sensationalism of mass attacks PROMOTES a continuing rash of attacks. All guns are confiscated...molitov cocktails start appearing at Federal buildings and in theaters (OK...I do NOT think all guns will ever be confiscated - cuz some of us bitchez ain't givin' em up!!!)
Jane, please do take the time to look at the issues of "earned" income, "unearned" income and how the New Obama loopholes treat all this income. Why is it that Obama Promised to fix this income tax problem and yet he did nothing, in fact he and Ried got all they wanted , they were the only ones that wrote the bill and signed it into law.Jane, do tell us again how happy you are that Obama rolled the Republicans and shut them and their ideas out of the fiscal cliff law?
Current Earned income Rate = 39.6 %Obamacare (were is that money being lock boxed?) = 3.8 percent surtax on investment income.
"I lied? Then how is it that Warren Buffet's secretary pays a higher rate of taxes than he does?"You DO know the difference between INCOME tax and CAPITAL GAINS tax - oh - apparently not."Is he lying?"He's either stupid, or lying. He ain't stupid.
couldn’t zip their criticism for a few hours of one single day." FUR U still blaming Bush for the last four years of ObamaNomics?R U over the Gore loss ?LOL, piss off sissy bitch.
Jane is unable to understand the US Tax Code.He believes he pays more in taxes then millionaires/billionaires in this country.Tell how it is you manage to pay more then the 43.4 percent earned income rate ?Obama will release his taxes in a few months and he will again as he has during all years he has paid taxes under the Bush tax cuts and other Bush lower income rates on both earned/unearned monies, use the tax code to lower his bill to the US Federal Govt and the Bots here will as always, make excuses.
The Richmond Fed manufacturing index for December lost four points, down to -12"I believe the president of the last four years is to blame, or are the left unaware he has been driving the BUS?
Michelle's bangs make her look girlish. I like the look.________________The White House has requested that I not tweet the President while he is in church this morning. For some reason, he feels compelled to reply to me...
Rove says Obama is going to try to make the GOP look "extreme."Try? Will he try as hard as the Tea Partiers?
"While other channels were showing the festive parade activities, Fox News spent the time dissecting every part of Obama’s speech with a new round of critics every hour."Yeah, that didn't happen with W......
". I like the look."There's a shock.
God, you are perverse, Savagette. If I had not liked the look, I would have said so.WW pegged you right.
"(OK...I do NOT think all guns will ever be confiscated - cuz some of us bitchez ain't givin' em up!!!)"LOL - liberals don't work that way, as we both know. They're sneaky - they plot and scheme, use our own rules against us - then - well - you know the drill.
"If I had not liked the look, I would have said so."There isn't ANYTHING you DON'T like about either one of them!WW was right? The very day YOU ACCUSED ME of having sex is the VERY DAY YOU changed the discourse.Stop acting like you're some angel.
I didn't seriously accuse you of having sex. I just JOKED that you'd better be careful, or Rat would "deny you sex."I didn't expect you or anyone else to take that anymore seriously than the constant "accusations" that appear here that I and Hb are involved in a homosexual relations -- "accusations" which you both applauded and laughed at.So you can dish it out, but you can't take it, eh?As said, WW pegged you right.
"that appear here that I and Hb are involved in a homosexual relations"Those came AFTER HB and his ridiculous comments.Grow up - you jumped in - it's what happens.I can dish it out and take it - it's you having the problem with all of this - not me.You chime in - and then whine when it's tossed back at you - just like the little troll on here.Like I said - grow up. We ALL have your number - you're as far left as anyone can get. Hell, you've even foresaken the oath you took as a pastor - christalmighty - for a human.Plus, this love affair you have with Obama is absolutely insane.
Back to the last four years of Failure.James, stop your personal attacks, you are after all a man of the cloth.
HighlightsLack of homes for sale, especially at the low end, are holding down sales of existing homes which are down 1.0 percent in the December 2012"Darn it, HB was so sure the Obamanomic big pump of 10's of Billions per month had ramp up the Home Market.Take those 10's of Billions in new debt on the Fed books out and see if the ObamaNomic housing market can stand on it's own two feet.
"or have they simply become so partisan that moral decency no longer exists?"MORAL DECENCY????YOU have the NERVE to quote about MORAL DECENCY??? With an estimated 55 MILLION abortions the last 40 years???Infanticide?? You either believe that human life is sacred or you don't.
You are wrong. The homosexual jibes had been going on long before I made what I intended as a humorous remark -- which you should have laughed at as I laughed at the others. Everything else you say is of course ridiculous. You know very well I do not worship Obama. Or Lincoln. Or FDR. Deeply admire them, yes. Worship them, no.As for how far left I am, the really extreme leftists tend to be a lot more critical of Obama than I am.I am about to go and attend a meeting of other pastors and lay people who also admire Obama. We discuss him with mixtures of praise and criticism. The prevailing tone today will be, I'm pretty sure, gladness over yesterday, tempered perhaps by the one or two among us who are more leftist.
As for how far left I am, the really extreme leftists tend to be a lot more critical of Obama than I am."LOL James that is funny, great stand up.The farthest leftist complain that Obama is not destroying Capitalism fast enough, that the transfer of wealth is not happening quick enough, that as you pointed out those that earn the most are not paying even more. The top income earners pay more then you do Jane, that we settled, but now how much as a percent of earned income would you like to see those top earners pay?Express your answer in earned income tax rate, current US tax rate is 3.8 plus 188.8.131.52 is not enough Jane, so what is?
James forget this shit. As ancient groupie, an idiot farmer, a"libertarian" who wants armed rebellion. A pretend climate scientist who is a pathological liar. And that is it. It isn't worth it. Add the occasional visit by a New York racist/twit fucker and what do you get? What is left of a blog, run by a guy who has lost interest.
OBAMA'S STRIKING COMMENTS ON GAY RIGHTSFirst Read: "Maybe the most striking (and memorable) lines of Obama's inaugural speech were his remarks on gay rights. 'All of us are created equal' is the star that guides us still -- just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall,' he said. He later added, 'Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law.' It's important to remember that Obama was someone who opposed gay marriage in presidential run in '08, and who later said he was evolving on the subject. Obama's shift is a reflection of how quickly the politics of gay marriage have changed in this country. (The train was leaving the station, and Obama jumped on board.) And so is the fact that there has been little to no backlash to those remarks -- at least so far."__________________Obama, criticized for moving too slowly on gay rights just as Lincoln was criticized for moving too slowly on slavery -- both waited for a more propitious moment and then acted.
"As ancient groupie, an idiot farmer, a"libertarian" who wants armed rebellion, a dry drunk, a self-proclaimed rocket scientist, a holier-than-thou liberal "Christian"...See how easy that is?
Hb, I enjoy dropping in from time to time, leaving a post or two or three, and then leaving, as I am about to. I don't take this very seriously.
Anytime Savagette loses, I become "holier."
"I become "holier."BS.
Idiot woman. I am not a dry drunk. I suggest you look in the mirror. The anger at yourself is not healthy.
" I am not a dry drunk."indeed.you're a raging fucking idiot asshole dry drunk. - rrb
"you're a raging fucking idiot asshole dry drunk."I stand corrected.

UNIVERSITIES SLASH TEACHERS' HOURS TO EVADE OBAMACAREIf you want someone to lie to you and tell you how troubling it is when anyone's income is cut in Obama's economy, you'll want to stop reading right about now. I'm only willing to go as far as to say that I wish ObamaCare wasn't the cause of all this. But it simply is a beautiful thing to see the very institutions that carry Obama's water and attempt to brainwash more of his minions, deal first-hand with the consequences of their thoughtless advocacy:A new piece in the Wall Street Journal reports that many colleges are cutting back on the number of hours worked by adjunct professors, in order to avoid new requirements that they provide healthcare to anyone working over 30 hours per week. This is terrible news for a lot of people; 70 percent of professors work as adjuncts and many will now have to cope with a major pay cut just as requirements that they buy their own health insurance go into effect.Liberals mugged by reality is always welcome news.Sweet justice.
Obama shouts out to those who lost. To Mitt Romney: "The commitments we make to each other through Medicare and Medicaid and Social Security....do not make us a nation of takers." To the climate change denialists: "Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms." To the neocons: "We, the people, still believe that enduring security and lasting peace do not require perpetual war." To the voter suppression gangs in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and elsewhere: "Our journey is not complete until no citizen is forced to wait for hours to exercise the right to vote." To the NRA: "Our journey is not complete until all our children, from the streets of Detroit to the hills of Appalachia to the quiet lanes of Newtown, know that they are cared for and cherished and always safe from harm." To the entire tea party wing of the GOP: "We cannot mistake absolutism for principle or substitute spectacle for politics, or treat name-calling as reasoned debate."http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/president-obamas-second-inaugural-address-transcript/2013/01/21/f148d234-63d6-11e2-85f5-a8a9228e55e7_print.html

Speaking of what douchebag wrote what:***As long as the gun debate rages there will be more of these idiots who want their fifteen minutes of fame.***I see. Blame it on the gun debate.
I admit, when I hear of another shooting at another school, I have mixed feelings.I hope an assault rifle was NOT used for the sake of possible lives saved.I hope an assault rifle WAS used for the sake of legislation that may save future lives.
Let the GOP run Paul Ryan for president and then remember that he said"No one is suggesting that what we call our earned entitlements -- entitlements you pay for, like payroll taxes for Medicare and Social Security -- are putting you in a 'taker' category. No one would suggest that whatsoever."-- Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), CRITICIZING PRESIDENT OBAMA'S INAUGURAL SPEECH on Laura Ingraham's radio show TODAY.______________"Right now about 60 percent of the American people get more benefits in dollar value from the federal government than they pay back in taxes. So we're going to a majority of takers versus makers."-- Ryan, on Washington Watch IN JUNE 2010.________________Can't have it both ways, Paulie.
Netanyahu Faces Weaker Coalition After Elections"As Israeli voters turned out in far higher numbers than expected on Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made an urgent evening plea for support as his challengers anticipated results that could significantly weaken his power in the third term that he was widely expected to win," the New York Times reports. "While Mr. Netanyahu's joint campaign list with the ultranationalist Yisrael Beiteinu faction was still expected to win far more of Parliament's 120 seats than the next-largest party, making him the likeliest candidate to lead the next government, a relatively weak showing and a surge for centrist and left-leaning parties could force him to moderate his policies and leave him with a fragile coalition of competing interests."______________________If so, couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.
The Republicans in DC are not happy Obama did not propose conservative ideas.
Conflicted Clueless James said...I admit, when I hear of another shooting at another school, I have mixed feelings.I hope an assault rifle was NOT used for the sake of possible lives saved.I hope an assault rifle WAS used for the sake of legislation that may save future lives.Normal people are not conflicted at all. They pray for the speedy recovery of the wounded and would not give a second thought to the politics of gun control. But we all know you're far from normal.

Oh yeah. When you hear about another shooting at a school, you don't ever say, "Oh no! This could strengthen the hands of those who want to deny me the right to have a military style assault rifle to spray bullets all over the place."
Oh yeah. When you hear about another shooting at a school, you don't ever say, "Oh no! Republicans are saying, What a terribly, terribly horribly LIBERAL and confrontational speech Obama gave. Ah, but look at this:__________________...what is being mostly overlooked is HOW MANY OF THE POLICIES AND VIEWPOING Obama articulated in his inaugural address ARE SUPPORTED BY MAJORITIES OF AMERICANS.Chris Cillizza: Take Obama’s advocacy for gay rights, for example. (“Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law,” Obama said in his speech yesterday). As it turns out, per the Dec. 2012 NBC/WSJ poll, a majority of Americans -- 51% -- favor gay marriage. That’s up from a mere 30% in 2004.There’s also immigration reform. (“Our journey is not complete until we find a better way to welcome the striving, hopeful immigrants who still see America as a land of opportunity.”) The Jan. 2013 NBC/WSJ found another majority -- 52% -- supporting giving illegal immigrants the ability to apply for legal status. And then there's his defense of entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare. (“These things do not sap our initiative; they strengthen us. They do not make us a nation of takers; they free us to take the risks that make this country great.”) Polls overwhelmingly find that Americans support these programs. One issue that Obama discussed yesterday -- stopping climate change -- is a topic that could be a harder political sell, although the NBC/WSJ poll hasn’t tested it in a long time. And it is possible, as the Washington Post's Dan Balz notes, that Obama's second term could be marked by overreach. But it's also hard to argue that these “liberal” ideas and policies are somehow far outside the political mainstream. As Politico writes, “The cultural changes that allowed Obama to be the first president to mention gay rights in an inaugural address are already widely accepted by the public or destined to be so soon AS A YOUNGER, MORE SOCIALLY LIBERAL GENERATION COMES OF AGE. The president’s promise to address climate change and his peroration on continuing ‘what those pioneers began’ on gender equality, gay rights, voting rights, immigration and gun control likewise illustrated just how much the White House is convinced that THE COUNTRY'S CULTURAL CENTER HAS MOVED.”___________________Get the dustbins of history ready for the GOP.
Clueless in Washington said....Obama’s 2nd inaugural address: 'Peace in our time'? Really, Mr. President? The WTF moment for me in Obama's second inaugural address, delivered Monday at noon, was his use of the phrase "peace in our time." This came during his discussion of foreign policy, and in such circles, that phrase is a synonym for appeasement, especially of Hitler by Neville Chamberlain in September 1938. What signal does his using it send to Iran? I hope he was just using it to jerk Netanyahu's chain.I also simply didn't understand what he meant by "a world without boundaries." But my immediate thought was, No, right now we need boundaries -- like those meant to keep Iran out of Syria and Pakistan out of Afghanistan. So who said the adults were in charge?
The Significance of Obama’s Inaugural AddressPresident Obama’s inaugural address was eloquent and moving in parts. It was also deeply partisan and polarizing, something that is unusual for a day normally devoted to unity and common purpose. But not in Barack Obama’s America. In his inaugural speech he did what he seemingly cannot keep himself from doing: portraying himself and his followers as Children of Light and portraying his opponents as Children of Darkness. You are either with Obama–or you are with the forces of cruelty and bigotry. In Obama’s world, there is no middle ground. He is the Voice of Reason; those who oppose him are the voice of the mob. They are the ones who (to cite just one passage from his speech) mistake absolutism for principle, substitute spectacle for politics, and treat name-calling as reasoned debate. In that sense, Obama is the perfect president for our current political culture. And for all of his self-perceived similarities with Abraham Lincoln, he is the antithesis of Lincoln when it comes to grace, a charitable spirit and a commitment to genuine reconciliation. Mr. Obama is, at his core, a divider. He seems to relish it, even when the moment calls for a temporary truce in our political wars.Which leads me to my second point.Mr. Obama’s speech was not a call to unity; it was a summons to his liberal base to fight–on global warming, for gay rights, for gun control, for renewable energy, and for a diminished American role in world affairs. And the president’s speech also signaled that he will oppose, with passion and demagoguery, anyone who attempts to reform our entitlement programs. He is fully at peace with running trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see. He not only won’t lift a finger to avoid America’s coming debt crisis; he will lacerate those who do.Going to be a long four years.
"USA TODAY - 32 minutes ago Two men involved in fight were wounded. Maintenance man hit in leg by crossfire. Lone Star College. Students evacuated Lone Star College-North Harris, near Houston, after two men shot at each other inside a campus building."ok libruhls...everyday in Duhmerica there are arguements and injuries. A dude stabbed after the Atlanta game the other night, countless others across our nation.Yet...you pawns jumped on this incident IMMEDIATELY as another reason to encroach on MY FREEDOMS to own weaponry that is capable of defending myself in extreme cases. When, all it was was another routine act of violence that will NEVER be legislated out of existence here or anywhere else.Dumbfugs.
5:45 An obvious attempt to find something in the speech to object to, no matter how you have to distort it.Chamberlain naively announced that there would be "peace in our time" after he thought he had appeased Hitler.Obama did not say that. He talks about what "peace in our time" WILL REQUIRE.__________As for using the phrase, "world without boundaries," Obama is not advocating a world without political boundaires; he is simply pointing out that the ECONOMY of our world, the global market, recognizes no boundaries.Try again. :-)
"""And the president’s speech also signaled that he will oppose, with passion and demagoguery, anyone who attempts to reform our entitlement programs. He is fully at peace with running trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see. He not only won’t lift a finger to avoid America’s coming debt crisis; he will lacerate those who do."""We've moved beyond the 'handwriting's on the wall' era.We are now in motion to the abyss. Again, we can sustain this for quite a while yet...right up until we can't.President Asshat will destroy those with money...through taxes and/or currency destruction. And the poor will still get poorer. Tsk tsk for them.Good luck to future American's. If I were younger I really think I'd head elsewhere as this place will become more effed up by the year for the foreseeable future.
Obama did not say that. He talks about what "peace in our time" WILL REQUIRE.The term "Peace in out Time" especially in the context of foreign policy, is always synonymous with appeasement. Obamaphiles can’t have it both ways.Either, as they say, he’s the most brilliant speech writer ever who carefully crafts his texts to bring forward historical analogies — in which case he used the phrase deliberately which is frightening – or he’s way overblown and did it without realizing the significance. Some choice.Deliberately provocative or totally ignorant of history. Grinning.
Re 6:36 Mr. Obama’s speech was INDEED a call to unity; it was a summons to ALL AMAERICANS WHO AGREE WITH HIM TO FIGHT AGAINST global warming (WHICH A MAJORITY OF AMERICANS NOW BELIEVE IS MAN MADE), for gay rights (WHICH A MAJORITY NOW SUPPORT), for gun control (WHICH A MAJORITY ARE NOW IN FAVOR OF), for renewable energy (WANTED BY A MAJORITY), and for a SENSIBLE AND RESPONSIBLE American role in world affairs THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE US IN MAJOR COMMITMENTS OF "BOOTS ON THE GROUND" WHEN THESE ARE NOT NECESSARY.FIFY
more mass murder of kids..."178 Children Killed By Drone Program"
The executive branch has no intention over the next four years of reforming — or, more correctly, saving from bankruptcy — our wasteful entitlement programs. Indeed, ObamaCare is a huge new entitlement heaved on to the taxpayers' backs.Lady Thatcher warned that socialists "always run out of other people's money." The president has made it clear he is nowhere near to being finished pursuing collectivism in the name of individual freedom.
"When, all it was was another routine act of violence that will NEVER be legislated out of existence here or anywhere else."If you think that it's "routine" - it proves America is a violent country and you're okay with that. Taking this kind of logic, we might as well not have any safety regulations of any kind, because, well, accidents are inevitable and enacting regulations infringes on some freedoms, ie: my freedom to drive my car and not get my clothes wrinkled by the seat belt. It amazes me that people are calling for near-anarchy when they oppose gun regulations.
"Yawn, apparently there was enough porto-potties for 400,000 and they were more than adequate."Even if it was 400K that's on par with what Bush got in 2005 and Clinton in 1997. Common sense indicates that a democrat would get more turnout in Washington D.C. & environs than a republican.I don't know why pulling it out and seeing whose is longer is so important with these crowds. LBJ beats you all since over 1 million in 1965 is proportionally more impressive. He and Kennedy both filled stadiums too - Kennedy spoke to 80K at Los Angeles memorial Colisem, LBJ to 60K at memorial stadium in Austin. Really who cares?
theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/2013/01/man-with-illegal-gun-shoots-off-penis.html?spref=tw&m=1Give rat a gun and just what you expect happens.
"It amazes me that people are calling for near-anarchy when they oppose gun regulations."Because liberals ALWAYS, ALWAYS overreach."Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
"178 Children Killed By Drone Program"Baaad when W did it......Goood when Obama does it.Same with the Patriot Act. Liberal hypocrisy on steroids.
Just watched the screed from Wayne LeP from yesterday. Keep letting him out in public and allowing him to spew the incendiary words in your name. The house will be lost with 92% of Americans saying background checks should be completed on ALL transactions....Now the kansan shows up and defends guns rather than lives. The stupidity of the right runs deep supporting such silly tit for tat ......bad w, good BHO....your depth of knowledge on all subjects is just astounding.Chuckle
